"We take care of our people" is the easiest sentence in business to write.

It's on almost every careers page. Nobody has to prove it. It goes on the website, comes up in the interview, and work carries on.

Here's ours, this year.

Two weeks ago we marked Blanca's tenth year in our Back of House. Her team bought her a hat that says Queen of the Kitchen. After ten years that isn't a cute slogan, it's who she is to that kitchen.

Kenneth's team surprised him with a letter board reading WELCOME TO LEADERSHIP, then told him what they'd seen in him long before the title.

Erica turned 21 on a regular work day, and we went all out anyway — gold backdrop, sash, Felix and Janet there for our birthday girl.

In February, 18 of our leaders got CPR certified at the Davie Fire Rescue station. No cake. Nothing to mark. Just a skill you keep for life, whether or not you're still working here.

Anyone can write that first sentence. This is what it looks like when it's true ❤️

Hace dos semanas celebramos los diez años de Blanca en nuestro Back of House. Su equipo le regaló un gorro que dice Queen of the Kitchen. Después de diez años eso ya no es un apodo, es lo que ella es para esa cocina.

El equipo de Kenneth lo sorprendió con un letrero que decía WELCOME TO LEADERSHIP, y le dijeron en voz alta lo que veían en él mucho antes del título.

Erica cumplió 21 en un día normal de trabajo y aun así lo hicimos en grande: fondo dorado, banda, Felix y Janet ahí para nuestra cumpleañera.

En febrero, 18 de nuestros líderes se certificaron en RCP en la estación de Davie Fire Rescue. Sin cake. Sin nada que celebrar. Solo una habilidad que te queda de por vida, trabajes aquí o no.

Open interviews are this Monday, August 10, from 9 am to noon 📅

No appointment and no application to fill out first. Come any time inside that window — you don't have to stay for all of it. You walk in, we sit down, and we find out whether this is somewhere you'd want to spend your days.

Most of the people leading this team didn't start as Directors or Team Leaders. They started where you'd start, front of house. What they learned there:

Greeting guests like you're glad to see them
Reading what a guest or teammate needs before being asked
Working well with people when things get busy
Staying calm through the lunch rush

Those skills grew into the roles they hold now. Front of house, you're paid while you learn them.

This isn't only a first job. It's for anyone who wants to work somewhere the standard is high and nobody forgets you're a person.

We're hiring front-of-house Team Members for daytime hours — available 9 am to 5 pm or 10 am to 6 pm, weekdays, and every Sunday off.

Las entrevistas abiertas son este lunes 10 de agosto, de 9 am a 12 del mediodía.

Sin cita y sin solicitud previa. Llega a la hora que te quede mejor dentro de ese horario; no tienes que quedarte todo el tiempo. Entras, nos sentamos, y averiguamos si este es un lugar donde querrías pasar tus días.

La mayoría de quienes lideran este equipo no empezaron como Directors ni Team Leaders. Empezaron donde tú empezarías, en el área de servicio al cliente. Lo que aprendieron ahí:

Recibir a cada persona con gusto de verla
Anticipar lo que necesita alguien antes de que lo pida
Trabajar bien con la gente cuando hay mucho movimiento
Mantener la calma en plena hora del almuerzo

Esas destrezas los llevaron a los puestos que tienen hoy. Ahí te pagan mientras las aprendes.

No es solo un primer trabajo. Es para quien quiera estar donde el estándar es alto y donde nadie olvida que eres una persona.

Estamos contratando Team Members para el área de servicio al cliente en horario de día: disponibilidad de 9 am a 5 pm o de 10 am a 6 pm, entre semana, y todos los domingos libres.

We expected Esdras to say the job taught him speed.

Three months in, Back of House, chef coat on. You'd bet the answer is move faster, multitask, keep up, clear the board, and start again.

Here's the interesting part. That isn't what he said. His answer runs three lines, not one of them about speed, and it's on slide three in his own words.

He's our Lead Ambassador of the Month, with a certificate presented by our Operator, Felix Hodges. You should have seen the rest of the team crowd around him for it 🙌

Esdras is Back of House for most of his shift, so you've probably never seen him. But if you've picked up an order at Chick-fil-A Davie North in the last three months, odds are good it came through his hands.

Dre was the last person at Chick-fil-A Davie North to find out she could lead.

On day one, she described herself in three words: "I was very shy." She thought this was just a regular job. New place, new people, nothing planned past the shift.

What changed her mind wasn't a title. It was who was already standing there. "The team was very kind and friendly, and that's what reeled me in."

Leading came later, and it wasn't simple. "It sounds simple, but it was a struggle. I had to learn in so many ways how to lead my team right."

Her leaders, her team, even the guests who come through — every one of them saw it first. "They reminded me of what an impact I had on this team long before I saw it in myself." 🥺

Nobody here waits for you to be sure of yourself first. That's the whole thing.

"I'm glad I stayed."

En Chick-fil-A Davie North, Dre fue la última en darse cuenta de que podía liderar.

Su primer día se describió en tres palabras: "Era muy tímida". Pensaba que este era un trabajo cualquiera. Lugar nuevo, gente nueva, nada planeado más allá del turno.

Lo que le cambió la idea no fue un puesto. Fue la gente que ya estaba ahí. "El equipo era muy amable y acogedor, y eso fue lo que me enganchó."

Liderar llegó después, y no fue sencillo. "Suena simple, pero fue una lucha. Tuve que aprender de muchas maneras cómo liderar bien a mi equipo."

Sus líderes, su equipo, incluso las personas que entran por la puerta: todos lo vieron antes que ella. "Me recordaban el impacto que yo tenía en este equipo mucho antes de que yo lo viera en mí misma". 🥺

Aquí nadie espera a que tú lo veas primero. Ese es el punto.
