With the upcoming DIPOA election, I encourage my fellow Dauphin Island property owners to take a close look at three candidates I believe can help move our community forward: Will Donaldson, Edwin Lamberth, and Dominic Carlucci.
After reviewing last month’s DIPOA meeting, I was impressed by Will Donaldson’s vision—particularly his focus on the potential to transform the space into another restaurant for our residents and visitors. His approach reflects the kind of forward-thinking leadership our community needs. He also raised an important point about the long-term sustainability of subsidizing the golf course. At some point, we have to ask how much investment is reasonable without a clear return.
Edwin Lamberth also stood out to me. With his legal background and thoughtful perspective, I believe he can bring greater transparency and accountability to the board—something many of us have been asking for.
Dominic Carlucci has already demonstrated his commitment through years of hands-on involvement. From volunteering his time to maintain and improve the property to supporting tenants and community needs, he has consistently shown dedication and care for Dauphin Island. If anyone can find a way to keep the golf course viable, I believe it’s Dominic—his passion and commitment to it are clear. Over the years, he has invested significant personal time and effort to help maintain a usable golf course facility.
Together, I believe these three candidates represent experience, integrity, and a shared commitment to the future of our community. This is an important moment for DIPOA, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting candidates who are focused on progress—not personal agendas.
I encourage everyone to reach out to these candidates directly, ask questions, and get involved. Your vote matters.
