If Nana Karen’s told you: “Come up with a special. If we love it, we might make it.”

What are you creating?

A ridiculous sandwich?
An absurd loaded fry situation?
Something involving chicken and waffles that probably shouldn’t be legal?
A dessert?
Some combination of foods nobody asked for but suddenly we all need? 😂

There are NO menu rules for this one.

We get asked this question ALL the time by people who have never eaten with us before: “So… what kind of restaurant is Nana Karen’s?”

And our answer is usually… Ehhh. Different? 😂

Because honestly, we’ve never fit very neatly into a restaurant category.

Our menu is a little bit of everything. Our food doesn’t always follow the rules. Our portions are ridiculous. Our specials sometimes come from somebody saying, “Okay, hear me out…” and then we just make it.

And that’s kind of the point.

Danville has a LOT of restaurants... & we’ve never wanted to be another version of something you can already get somewhere else.

Our goal has always been to give you a reason to come to Nana Karen’s because there’s something here you can’t quite get anywhere else.

Different food.
Different atmosphere.
Different people.
Different experience.

Maybe “different” actually is our category. 😂❤️

So now we’re curious: If somebody who had NEVER been to Nana Karen’s asked YOU what kind of restaurant we are… what would you tell them?
