Today is 12 YEARS of KAFFMANDU!!! & my daughter Shanti’s birthday 🎉 22!!
I’m blessed to still be able to operate 2 locations and dedicate more of my time to Danvers. I’m also beyond grateful to my loyal customers and friends who continue to support Kaffmandu. Despite the various hurdles of the past year I’m beyond grateful to bring in another year.
We will be paying forward for a limited time this day. Please stop by and celebrate with us!!

Peter Spellman, Local artist and educator: My work—in music, design, and life—flows from an ongoing quest to bridge creativity, meaning, and the sacred rhythms that connect us all.

As a drummer, I’ve spent decades training my ear to hear beyond the obvious beat—listening for the subtler pulses that shape human emotion, story, and motion. That same instinct guides my visual art.

In the current exhibit (Rhythms of the Unseen) I explore movement as metaphor. Each figure is distilled to its most essential gesture, as if caught mid-beat—dancers suspended between stillness and flight, between the seen and the sensed.
In every line, I hope to offer a reminder that life itself is a choreography, and we are always, in some way, dancing through it.
