If we had a dollar for every time somebody asked us, "When are y'all gonna open?"... we'd probably have enough for another espresso machine. ☕️😉

Truth is, we've asked ourselves that same question as we've passed multiple opening day goals.

We're in the final stretch, but like a lot of new businesses, we've had a few bumps in the road. Between wrapping up the last of the renovations and waiting on the inspections that have to happen before we can open our doors, things have taken a little longer than we'd hoped.

We know it's hard to wait, and believe us—we're ready to get the coffee brewing just as much as y'all are.

Thank you for sticking with us, cheering us on, sharing our posts, inviting your friends to our page, and reminding us every day why we started chasing this dream in the first place.

We promise we're getting very close! As soon as we have an opening date we can stand behind, y'all will be the first to know!

One of the questions we get asked a good bit is:
“Will you serve anything besides coffee? And will you offer anything to eat?"

The answer is yes!

While coffee will always be at the heart of what we do, we'll also be serving a variety of other handcrafted drinks, including teas, lemonades, and more—so there's something for everyone.

As for food, we're excited to partner with a local baker to offer a selection of fresh pastries and sweet treats in the shop. Supporting other small businesses is important to us, and we can't wait to share some incredible local favorites with you.

Whether you're stopping by for your morning coffee, an afternoon tea, or a sweet treat with friends, we hope Blue Smoke Java Co. feels like a place you'll want to linger.

"Why did y'all go with the name Blue Smoke Java Company?"

It's a question we've been asked a lot, and the answer is pretty simple—it comes from the place we love.

If you've ever watched the sun rise or set over the Smokies or stood on an overlook after a summer rain, you've seen the soft blue haze that gives these mountains their name. That "blue smoke" rolling across the ridges is one of the most recognizable and beautiful parts of East Tennessee, and it's something that has always felt like home to us.

We wanted our coffee shop to carry a piece of that with it. Not just in the name, but in the feeling. A place where you can slow down, gather with friends, enjoy great coffee, and appreciate the community that makes these mountains so special.
Our colors are also completely inspired by the Smoky mountains!

And if you know us, you know there's another reason. We couldn't pass up a little nod to our queen, Dolly. 💙 Her song "Blue Smoke" has always been one more reminder of the place we're proud to call home.

Blue Smoke Java Co. is more than a coffee shop name. It's a love letter to the Smokies, to East Tennessee, and to the people who make this place so special.

The 4th of July is a day that fills us with pride & love for our country. We are so thankful to live in a place where we can all be free, thanks to the brave men and women who have fought for that freedom. Question for anyone who happens to see this post. We're trying to get multiple thoughts so please comment!! When you think of when life was "simpler" and by that we mean, the days before technology took over. What comes to mind? The nostalgic things that make you stop and remember when you see them.
