Dear Friends,
After 40 unforgettable years, the time has come for us to close our doors. It’s hard to put into
words what this journey has meant to us, but above all, we want to say thank you.
Thank you for walking through our doors time and time again. For your loyalty, your laughter,
and your stories. For making us part of your birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, family dinners, and everyday meals. You filled Kamameshi House with life, love, and memories we will cherish forever.
Over the past four decades, we’ve watched generations of families come through—some of you grew up here and later returned with your own children. That is a gift we will never forget. You made Kamameshi House more than just a restaurant—you made it home.
When we reopened in 2013 here in the City Heights Plaza, we weren’t sure if our community
would follow. But you did—and because of your support, we were able to thrive for another 12
incredible years. Thank you for believing in us a second time.
We hold many fond memories—from the cozy tatami rooms and bustling sushi bar serving your
favorite rolls like the Manila and Macarena. We’ll remember bringing out sizzling platters of
Gyuniku Teppan, filling the room with savory aroma, and always followed by the question,
“What dish is that?” We’ll never forget singing Happy Birthday with green tea ice cream in hand and handing out pillow mint candies at the end of each meal. Most of all, we’ll never forget how we made you feel—and how you made us feel in return.
To our Kamameshi House staff, past and present—thank you for being the heart of this
restaurant. Your dedication, passion, and hard work made Kamameshi a place filled with
warmth, care, and unforgettable memories.
Our last day of service is today, Sunday, April 20. As we prepare to say goodbye, we invite
you to celebrate with us and reflect on the years we’ve shared together.
We’d like invite you to share your stories, photos, and memories on this page, so our family can look back on this journey with full hearts.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything.
With love and deep gratitude,
The Fernandez Family
