TODAY'S FEATURE SOUP
NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN SOUP
They say hell hath no fury like a women scorned....... but some folks like a little heat, including Thornton Prince – the father of Nashville’s Hot Chicken. His scorned lover wanted revenge for his ungentlemanly ways. And using Prince’s love of fried chicken as bait, she concocted the perfect recipe of hot spices, thinking she would get even. However, he loved the chicken and that is how it all started. Today I’m turning this spicy chicken into a delightful soup that will have your mouth begging for more after the first bite. I started with a rich poultry stock and simmered breaded chicken pieces, onion, celery, and dill pickles. I then thickened it with a roux and finished it with a Kick-Butt Nashville Hot Sauce. All that I’m saying is don’t miss this one!
