It’s the happiest Monday because we have finally broken ground on PARLOR’S #2!!!
It’s been quite the journey to get to this point. Besides all the unexpected road blocks unique to this project, we’re reminded of the same complicated build out process we went through to build #1 just over 4 years ago. It’s wild, the level of detail that a small business must endure to get their business up and running.
Though we haven’t started the physical build out of this space yet, lots of things have been happening in the background! Finding the spot, proposing a Letter of Intent, negotiating the lease, surveying the space, making a list of equipment we’ll need in the space, architectural designs that get changed 100000x due to new ideas and code requirements and more unexpected changes that get thrown at us, interior design, general contracting bids in order to find the perfect match, choices on furniture, finishes, and light fixtures, meetings with the city and fire department, and health department. And then finally comes submitting for permits.
There are so many people involved in a project like this and we have a fantastic team to help us through this next venture. It should get more fun from here and we can’t wait to take you guys through the process.
Let’s get this thing built so the west side can finally have their scratch made ice cream!!!!
