Folks, we want to invite you to come and experience a very special pop-up from the wonderful people behind ROLLS next Sunday, Oct 11th! Our good friends from Japan, and Sugar Maiko will be slinging donuts at the Oak Cliff shop starting at 9am until sell-out. They are so excited to see and serve you all. We hope you’ll come by!

Another new coffee release and last minute roastery pop-up info! Introducing Dung K’no, a very rich and sweet anaerobic natural coffee from the Dung K’No Smallholders in Vietnam - makes for a chocolatey, juicy cup with strong notes of concord grape. We’ve got this on pour over and retail at the shops currently!

* Also, heads up that tomorrow (Saturday, the 26th), from around 8am to noon, we will be opening up the roastery space for y’all and serving this coffee four ways - iced, hot, espresso, and espresso with milk. Come on by if you can! 939 N Edgefield Ave, Dallas TX. We are hoping to do these fun pop-ups at the roastery more often going forward. We’ll see y’all this weekend!

Our Design District shop ♥️ even though it’s a pretty huge space (and the second child), the small details and all the people that fill it throughout every day are what make it a special haven of a cafe. We love the bright natural light, lush plants, centered open bar, and our incredible team that makes it run. Seeing it get more and more busy over here is so sick and we appreciate the support as always.

New coffee! Colombia Embrujo ‘Huntress’ - an incredible advanced fermentation washed coffee from Ignacio Rodriguez who is over the Embrujo farms in Colombia. We’re getting a light, floral cup with pleasant citrus acidity - notes of hibiscus, cacao, and yuzu. Currently loving it on featured espresso right now at the shops!

One of our very first hires in 2020, our shop manager of many years, the steady heartbeat of our Oak Cliff shop, and close friend - Ansley is finally leaving us.

We’ve been waiting for this day to arrive and it’s hitting like a ton of bricks, but we’re so stoked for all the new big life things she’s going to be moving into. Thank you for years of being a cornerstone of Wayward, helping us build up our community from the beginning, and leading folks day after day.

Ansley’s last day with us will be this Sunday, the 20th. She’ll be around most of the weekend so come see her, share memories, and say goodbye. Love you always, homie. We’ll see you around A 🫶

New coffee release⚡️ El Borbollon - a clean, bright, and sweet washed process from the Alvarez family in El Salvador via two neighboring farms. This easy to enjoy coffee makes for a nutty, syrupy cup with some subtle melon sweetness and lemon peel zest. After almost 5 years, we are saying goodbye to another Wayward OG, Haley. It’s always hard to see folks leave after a long tenure, but we’re so thankful for all the countless memories and good times. That’s what this is about after all - building a true community and forming friendships that go beyond the shop itself.

That being said, come see by and see Haley for her last few shifts this morning and tomorrow afternoon before her and Jake Saenz head to Chicago. We are also closing both shops a bit early tomorrow (Monday) at 4pm so the staff can have one final big hang with our sweet homies before they leave. Cheers y’all.

Introducing coffee release days at the roastery. This Saturday, Aug 1st from 8am until noon (or sellout), we will be opening up part of our space at 939 N Edgefield Ave for limited service. This is your chance to see the roastery and supply store, shop for any coffee goods we have stocked, and enjoy a new special coffee before we make it available at the shops. We will be featuring and preparing this incredible Finca La Sirena blueberry co-ferment Colombia four ways - hot, iced, espresso, and espresso with steamed milk. We will not have any other menu items available or any syrups, etc as the goal is to purely focus on this amazing coffee and allow you all to try it however you choose or in multiple ways if you like. Plenty of retail bags and cans will also be available, and we’ll even hook you up with a beverage with the purchase of a bag/can. We hope you’ll swing by, and we’re excited to do things like this more often at the roastery if the community wants it!
