Enjoy a delicious blend and partake in catechism at Mokah Coffee & Tea. The intimate and cozy design scheme is that of a 15th century monastery basement with dark woods and leathers giving it a warm and cozy feel. We only serve Fair Trade coffee that has never been freeze-dried in a warehouse somewhere near Seattle. We also offer loose-leaf teas, specialty coffee, espresso , soda, and energy drinks if coffee is not your thing. Come in the morning for a latte and a bagel or in the afternoon for one of our delicious pastries and enjoy our unique motif and free wi-fi.

The guest matters. And so does who’s asking the questions!

For our September edition of “On the Rocks: Political Pour Overs,” DW and Dallas Fort-Worth Urban League Young Professionals are putting Kendyll Locke in the moderator’s chair for a reason.

Kendyll Locke serves in the office of U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett, working at the intersection of public policy, federal investment and community impact. He also serves as Advocacy Chair for DFW Urban League Young Professionals and was recognized among its inaugural DFW 100 Most Influential Young Professionals Under 40.

Now, he’ll sit down with our first returning guest, Lynn McBee, for a deeper conversation about philanthropy, workforce development, women’s equity and investing in Dallas communities.

The right people. The right questions. And a room where the community gets to be part of the conversation. 🥃

When visionaries take the stage, real transformation happens.

Get ready for an extraordinary evening at “On The Rocks: Political Pour Overs” as two powerhouse leaders—L.D. Thomas, Esq., MPA and Charles O’Neal—bring you an unfiltered, high-impact conversation on political power, economic access, and the future of Black business.

Moderated by a true champion for the community: L.D. Thomas, Esq., MPA. As the founder of The Law Office of L.D. Thomas and Board President of AURORA Dallas. Thomas has dedicated his career to protecting Black wealth, championing Black-owned businesses, and advancing Black culture and public arts throughout Texas.

Joining him is our featured guest, Charles O’Neal, President of the Texas Association of African American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC) and Board Chair of the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc.—bringing decades of statewide and national advocacy for Black entrepreneurs.

🥴🧑‍🔬WE’RE EXPERIMENTING🧑‍🔬🥴
Like any good teenager (Mokah is about 14 or 15 years of age, probably, maybe?) we’ve entered into an awkward, yet delicious, experimentation phase. Our current flight of fancy is throwing some espresso over and seeing how it feels (and tastes).
Definitely don’t knock an affogato if you ain’t tried it.

❓❔What Jeni’s flavor should we try next?❔❓

😱🤯 FUN FACT: Back in May we had the skilled come work on all the old, dirty wood on our patio. And holy cow, the glow up is mind-blowing. SWIPE RIGHT but prepare yourself mentally first. 🤯😱

Come give this table a test drive for yourself sometime!
