Five years ago today, Café Metzli was born. 🤎☕️🇲🇽
What started as a dream and a simple brown bag filled with coffee beans has grown into something we could have only imagined. When we launched, I had never worked in the coffee industry before. I was learning everything from the ground up, one step, one lesson, and one challenge at a time.
Building a business has not always been easy. There have been moments of uncertainty, moments where fear tried to convince us to stop, and countless things we had to figure out along the way. But looking back, we wouldn’t change the journey for anything.
To anyone dreaming of starting something of their own, it’s okay to be scared. You don’t have to have every answer before you begin. Sometimes you just have to take that first step, be willing to learn, and trust that you’ll grow along the way. It won’t always be easy, but there is something so special about building something that comes from your heart and seeing it become a reality.
Today, we celebrate five years of Café Metzli, but this celebration is not just ours. It belongs to every person who has supported us, believed in us, shared a cup of our coffee, visited us, recommended us, and cheered us on.
Most importantly, we want to thank the incredible coffee producers who have been part of this journey. Working side by side with them, learning from them, and building genuine relationships has been one of the most beautiful parts of Café Metzli. We are so proud and grateful to share Mexican specialty coffee with our community and to continue honoring the hard work, passion, and dedication behind every bean.
From that first brown bag of coffee to where we are today, we are reminded that dreams really can grow when you nurture them with love, patience, and purpose.
