I’m officially “off work” for the next 6-8 weeks as far as baking. If y’all send me a cake order request, I will periodically be checking my messages and respond as I can…but I will be focused on the upcoming big change here so I probably will be slow responding. Doll preorder is still open, and I will be making and sending those out the first and second week of December. Check my page for details! Drop a comment or a message and I will write yours down! When your children make you birthday breakfast! I meant to share this on my bday Friday but I forgot.
Elijah made turkey bacon, homemade drop biscuits and eggs, and stuck some candles into the biscuit. The younger three children made me presents and they all made me cute handwritten cards. Adam took them to Hobby Lobby and let them all pick me out a necklace or bracelet piece, and my sweet mother in law treated us to dinner. In my opinion, a wonderful way to turn 40. 🩷

Sometimes, you have clients that become friends, and you get to celebrate years of special events and wins with them. For the last 3 years, I’ve gotten to work with Mary Hale and been blessed to provide the cakes for her church’s celebrations, showers, weddings and more! Yesterday, I got to make a cake for their ”Nifty Nineties” celebration for their church members who were 90 and over. What a neat thing to get to honor our community seniors and mentors? This cake featured a floral bouquet on a sage green 12x18 sheet cake! The color scheme was 🤩🤩. So beautiful! Thank you, Mary, for asking me to make this for y’all!

Hey y’all! So…we have a major change coming up in about a month, and with it, some extra expenses, right at the time that I will have to be off for about a month. 😅
We are needing to raise right around $2000. I’m thinking about doing a quick fundraiser featuring some handmade dolls like I did last year…these will be the adorable hand embroidered dolls that are perfect for little hands! I’m thinking of making them for $18 each, and you get to pick the hair and skin color, to make each one look like whomever you gift them to! These would be ready the week of December 4th, which would give me enough time to bounce back and get them all finished! Any interest? These would be perfect gifts for the little girls in your life! Daughters, grands, nieces, church youth, etc…let me know if you want to participate and how many! 🤩🩷

My youngest daughter was so sad that she didn’t get her own canvas bag for our forest schooling group(she is too young to officially sign up), so Mama to the rescue! I found some similar canvas clearance fabric and a cute goose patch at Hobby Lobby, and made that girl her own bag! even repurposed a pair of my old ripped jeans and added her a blue jean pocket inside it! 🤩 Made the straps from some leftover quilting binding! She was so incredibly happy! 🩷🩷🩷
My oldest daughter made her a name tag for her bag, so now she is just like the big kids!
