Our last day of service will be this Saturday, August 30th.

We’re deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support over the past few weeks since sharing the news of our closure. Balo Kitchen has become what it is because of this community… we wouldn’t be here without you.

Join us one last time in Annandale this Saturday, and stay tuned for what’s next… we’re excited to begin a new chapter in Crystal City.

Here’s to the end of an era, to humble beginnings, and to all the memories we’ve made together. This isn’t goodbye… it’s simply turning the page to something even better. We can’t wait to welcome you to our new home soon.

An announcement to our followers:

Balo Kitchen will be closing at the end of August. It feels surreal to look back on how we started.. just a food truck parked in an empty lot, hoping people would stop by. Over time, that forgotten corner grew into a lively gathering place, shaped by shared meals and laughter.. a testament to what can blossom with heart, grit, and a community that believes in you.

It breaks our hearts to close on such short notice, especially knowing how much love and dedication our team (many with us since 2012), has poured into this place. But what stays with us are the moments and memories you’ve helped create that made it all worthwhile. We truly wouldn’t have come this far without you.

Thank you for being a part of our story. Come visit us one last time in Annandale, and stay tuned for our next project in Crystal City, coming this Fall.
