Our Story
In September 2017, Roger Bishop dreamed of a way to get coffee at early morning events... almost like a food truck... then it hit him; a Coffee Truck! Roger put his head in the game and got to work. After months of building, designing, making mistakes and learning, training, and many many prayers, the Bean Machine of Bouncin’ Bean Coffee and Tea Company was born! The crew of the Bean Machine traveled to churches, fundraisers, and events such as Make-It-Fit for Autism! Roger even set up at the World Equestrian Center for a while and had booming business!
But as we all know, good things cannot last forever. The truck began falling to pieces. Left heartbroken, and running low on funds since everything went towards parts for the truck, Roger persisted! He hauled the Bean Machine onto the back of a trailer, and drove her all the way to events he had promised to attend. Things continued to get worse. The truck was no longer in safe condition to drive, and wasn’t able to make it up on the trailer. Roger came to the devastating realization... the truck wasn’t going to work for our company right now. So Roger went back to the drawing board and got to thinking.
Months and months of researching, back and forth ideas, a blessing had fallen into Roger’s lap. A little old shop that was not in use in the heart of Roger’s home, Croton Ohio! On December 9th, 2019, the doors to the Bouncin’ Bean Coffee and Tea Cafe opened. The crazy part? It was all done by blessings, donations, dedication from multitudes of people (A huge, huge thanks to Leanne Bishop, Roger’s wife, who owns Barstow’s Gifts and Engraving. Without her, none of this, truly, would have been possible!).
The Bouncin’ Bean Company could not have done any of this without the support and love of our community, all of you. We thank you for donating money, constant comments of love, and especially coming into the cafe!
