Now for the next round of orders and some important news.

After running the numbers, I have decided that once this order window wraps up, I’ll likely be closing Crescent Crumb Co., or at least putting it on pause for now. With the time I have available at the moment, I’m just not able to produce enough muffins to make it sustainable— but I’m genuinely so glad I gave it a shot.

I’m incredibly grateful for how quickly this little muffin experiment took off — your support, kind messages, and orders have made this such a fun experience!

This order window opens today Wednesday, 7/31 and will be available for pickup on Sunday, 8/3 1pm. If there’s a flavor you’ve loved or still want to try, please message Crescent Crumb Co. by Saturday, 8/2 to place your order.

Beer bread doesn’t taste like beer at all — instead, it has a soft, buttery flavor with a slightly sweet, savory, and hearty taste, kind of like a cross between a biscuit and a rustic homemade loaf. The beer’s role isn’t to flavor the bread like a beverage — it’s there for the bubbles and yeast.

Here’s how it works: the carbonation in the beer helps the bread rise and stay fluffy, while the yeast in the beer reacts with the flour to give it a nice lift and texture. During baking, the alcohol and most of the strong beer flavor cook off completely, leaving behind a tender, flavorful loaf that’s great on its own or with sweet or savory toppings.

Hi, I’m Sierra – founder, baker, a grad from Del Norte High and recent college grad from SJSU. I currently work in aviation, but I started Crescent Crumb Co. as a creative (and tasty!) way to help pay off student loans and support myself after graduation.

After moving back to Crescent City to be closer to family, I knew I wanted to build something of my own—something that would allow me to have control of my time, make a living, and grow a business I believe in.

Every muffin sold helps support my journey and my time with loved ones - one batch at a time.
