🛼❤️ Huge Thank You + Exciting Update from Mountain Rush! ❤️🛼
To everyone in our community who stepped up and generously invested or donated to help us secure the roller skating rink flooring at auction — THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!
Your support saved us a tremendous amount of money and has brought us much closer to our goal of adding a full roller skating rink and Food & Beverage services right here at Mountain Rush. We are truly grateful for your belief in this project and in Covington.
We now have the high-quality flooring in hand and ready to install. However, there is still important work ahead before we can open the rink and concession area to the public. We are now about 62% of the way there (our own finances, investors and donations)!
To complete the vision, we still need to procure and install:

Speakers & sound system
More security cameras
Food warmers & kitchen equipment
Water heater
Pass-through windows
Plus renovations to walls, electrical, plumbing, and more

Thanks to the generous investors and donators, the total amount still needed to finish this phase is only $38,080.
This new rink and food & beverage area will give families, kids, birthday parties, and the whole community a wonderful new place to gather, skate, eat, and make memories for years to come.

Tonight starts the Carnival at Jackson River Sports Complex in Covington, VA! Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 6PM-10PM!!

🇺🇸🎡 THRILLS AND FAMILY FUN ARE COMING TO COVINGTON THIS WEEKEND! 🎡🇺🇸

Covington, VA – The wait is almost over! The VA250 Celebration Carnival, sponsored by the City of Covington and featuring a midway presented by Cole Shows Amusement Company, rolls into Covington this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, bringing an exciting lineup of rides, games, food, and family fun as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday. The midway is open each day from 6 to 10 p.m.

Among the featured attractions on the midway are the spectacular Saturn 16 swing tower, the thrilling Sizzler, the family-favorite Wonder Wheel, the colorful Carousel, the adventurous Jungle Crawl, and the kid-friendly Hampton Combo. Whether you're looking for high-flying excitement or classic carnival memories, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

The Carnival will be in Covington, VA this week!! Because of this excitement, Mountain Rush VA will be closed this week for walk-in play. We will still be hosting our private parties. We will also take this opportunity to get work done with the supplies we received at auction (Roller Skating Rink flooring & playground equipment)!

Go on down to the Jackson River Sport Complex this Thursday-Saturday!! Enjoy the rides, the food, the vendors, etc.!!

Sorry! We need one more day to finish rearranging the arcades and setting up the VR Arena in its new location. We will be closed today (6/4). Regular hours the rest of the week:
Friday- Saturday 3-9PM
Sunday 1-5PM

So many of our Mountain Rush VA family correctly guessed the image from yesterday-- it is a slide!

Like the skating rink, this too will take a bit of time to set up. While the skating rink needs so much more work (electrical, wall renovation, lighting, sound system, etc), this should go up much quicker. :)
