I love this state.
Was born here,
Finished high school here.
Joined the Air Force and was gone for a while. Came back and been here since. 40 + years. I consider myself a native Californian.
Then Why am I feeling more and more like a foreigner in the state that I've always called home.
Why are my neighbors leaving along with jobs and employers?
Why are there so many small businesses closing?
Why are there so many corporations moving their hdqtrs out of state?
Why am I paying so much more in taxes as compared to most other states?
WHY
is the rest of the country doing better by its middle-class, than california. The state I love and fear may have to leave.
And Before you answer that, tell me, how does that benefit me?
Im always one to help, happy to help ANYBODY. Will gladly do/pay my fair share, but when its no longer done voluntarily and becomes forced upon and with no consideration to our needs or how it affects our lives, shrinking our wallets with so many regulations, fees and fines on everything, when they should be growing. But when your not promoting growth why would they.
We're the 7th largest economy, I've heard
You want all the credit for that Im sure and you most definitely deserve all the credit.
We used to be the 5th.
If too many leave, whos gonna pay for all the hand outs?

IF WE DON'T CHANGE THIS STATES LEADERSHIP THEN THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CHASE PEOPLE OUT AND DESTROY ITS ECONOMY
