There are so many folks that contributed to Normals during our journey and have been part of our Nearly Normal family from the early days. With much appreciation and gratitude, we want to thank Cyndi, Claudia, and Michael, skilled artisans that enriched our world. They provided t-shirt art, menu art, interior design, the map room, and so much more always capturing the essence of Normals. They were part of the cast of characters in our kitchen crew as well.
Thank you to our sunburger crew that kept us going. Kati and Caitlin, long time normalities, that hung in there with us.
We cannot forget the diners, you all, the folks that have supported us throughout the years. Many have become lifelong friends. It was an honor to provide a space for you to enjoy communing with friends, family, business associates while sharing a meal together. It was always satisfying to hear laughter and joy. We loved washing those empty plates! We always wanted you to feel like you were on a ‘mini vacation’. We were grateful for all the playful and fun moments with you.
Thank you so much for sustaining us all these years. We really missed saying goodbye in person.
We would like to share a paragraph from our staff manual, words that were important to us:
Help each other, do your job, be respectful, build relationships, make someone smile every day, value humor, and let go of anger. Peace and compassion begin with each of us. We will strive to take care of our planet, being thoughtful and mindful of our impact and think of the future. We should always strive for
excellence, balance and care in our work and relations.
On Friday we took time to share stories, laughter and tears before we transferred the keys. Although we are sad, we are also leaving with a sense of satisfaction for 42 gonzo years of food, family, laughter and joy.
