I know this post might not get much love… but it’s getting closer than some of us want to admit!

I’m an autumn gal through and through. 🍁 I love ALL things fall! 🎃 But the truth is, like it or not, winter is coming—and it brings its own kind of beauty: families gathering, celebrating the birth of Jesus ✨, enjoying each other’s company, baking cookies together, and, for some, exchanging gifts.

As a gift store owner, I have to shop even earlier than most so we’ll have things ready when YOU are ready to start Christmas shopping!

With that being said… what’s on your Christmas list this year? What’s your favorite gift to give or receive? 🎁 What would you like to see us carry more of?

I know someone is going to want to say Highland cows! Same, girl, SAME! 🥰 Unfortunately, I don’t have the room, and I don’t think Ronnie, our landlord, would approve of that much fun! 😆 So let’s keep it to things I can actually bring into the store!

We've received many questions/requests about whether we're accepting new or returning vendors for this fall season. Honestly, as much as we want to see you all and meet new vendors, we don't have any vendor spots open right now. However, we will consider a few more local authors. We highly recommend visiting Chooch to add your items to their wonderful store, which features over 100 vendors. They're fun and great to work with!

Hi, everyone! I wanted to share here first that, after careful consideration, I’ve decided to offer my business for sale.

I’ve truly enjoyed watching the business grow and have poured so much time, heart, and effort into creating something unique for our community. Recently, however, some exciting new opportunities have come along that we believe are worth exploring. To make room for those opportunities, I’ve made the decision to simplify a few things and regain more time at home with my family, which has always been most important to me.

This is NOT a liquidation or closing sale. Copperhill General Store remains open, fully operational, and profitable, and will continue business as usual.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to acquire an established, turnkey business without having to build something from the ground up.

Copperhill General Store has grown into a unique multi-concept business with a loyal customer base, strong community support, and multiple revenue streams, including:

* Retail merchandise
* Prospectors Sweet Strike — ice cream, baked goods, specialty drinks, and more
* Copperhill Book & Plant Lounge — books, plants, and related items
* Indoor gem mining
* Additional offerings

The sale includes the business names and branding, fixtures, shelving, equipment, inventory, and other operational assets.

The building itself is not included, as the location is leased. We have excellent landlords who are willing to work with the right new owner regarding a new lease. Certain personal items and vendor-owned merchandise are also excluded from the sale.

Transition support will be provided to help ensure a smooth handover. Our current staff is also willing to remain, making this a highly turnkey opportunity. Systems are already in place, and the business can be operated with a hands-on approach or managed more remotely, depending on the new owner’s preference.

We still have plenty of bottled water; please come pick some up today!

The Twin Cities are still under water conservation, and we plan to do our part to help reduce water usage.

With that in mind, we have decided to only open the General Store and Book & Plant Lounge. Sweet Strike will stay closed until the water has been tested, cleared, and the boil water advisory has been lifted. Our business hours may vary over the next few days until everything returns to normal, so please call us before making a trip into town.

Not only do we want to help conserve water, but we also want to take every precaution to ensure our customers' safety.

We are very grateful to be able to reopen today. Unfortunately, that isn't the case for some of our fellow local businesses. Please keep them, along with all the crews working tirelessly to restore our community, in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support of our small businesses. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Sweet Strike as soon as it’s safe to do so!

Our community has always been defined by more than the places we love—it's defined by the people who call it home.
This weekend's flooding impacted many of our McCaysville and Copper Basin businesses, but what we've seen in the aftermath has been nothing short of inspiring. Neighbors, volunteers, business owners, and first responders have come together, lending helping hands and proving once again that this community is stronger than any storm.
As cleanup continues, many businesses are working hard to reopen their doors. When it's safe to do so, we encourage you to shop local, dine local, and show these small businesses the love they've always shown our community. Every visit, purchase, meal, and kind word makes a difference.
Please continue to be patient, extend grace, and check directly with businesses for their reopening updates.
Together, we'll rebuild, recover, and welcome visitors back with the same warmth and resilience that make McCaysville and Copper Basin so special.
