The Hen House Retreat at Chicken Creek The Hen House is a 2,100 sq. ft. home built in 2012 for "gatherings, get-a-ways and special events There are plenty of comfortable and cushy chairs and tables.

newly constructed home for "gatherings, get-a-ways and special events," with a focus on quilting and scrapbooking retreats. All you have to do is bring your UFOs (unfinished objects) or projects you need to start. Enjoy focused creativity in tranquil surroundings nestled near Lake Tenkiller in northeastern Oklahoma. There are four bedrooms with full, twin and bunk beds, and it sleeps 12 to 14 people. There are two bathrooms with two separate shower rooms that are handicapped accessible. The House also has a fully equipped kitchen, large great room, tons of lights and tons of windows to enjoy the outside. The design also is perfect for family reunions, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, club meeting, team building retreats, mother/daughter quality time and sorority gatherings.

Well I had to get a new microwave that has a child lock on it . I hope someone doesn’t think the door is stuck and try to rip the door off.

The other microwave had a fire 🔥 on the 3rd round of baked potatoes that set off the smoke detector loud and clear.

Thankfully the fire was put out by a quick thinking retreater 😜

Pam Lakey explains this block’s significance: In 1978 I met my husband; we would go visit his mom in Oklahoma every few weeks for Sunday dinner. Through the back roads I saw this one, amazing tree sitting alone in an open field, and we always commented about it’s beauty… When Terry proposed, he took me to that tree and said, “Our marriage would be as strong as that mighty tree!” I did marry my soulmate and our marriage has lasted over forty years!
