I am so excited!! I can now officially retire from my baking and hand my business over to my daughter!! Check out her page - Mischievous Owl for her beautiful work! I have truthfully LOVED baking for the last 20+ years for my customers - now my friends - but at 70 years of age, I feel it is time to hand it off to the next generation. I'll still be around baking for fun - after all it is a passion of mine!

I have not posted in a while. I have been busy with my new position as a Host Home Caregiver for 3 lovely Special needs ladies. But today, I surprised myself with the presentation of my breakfast of Greek yogurt, berries and nuts along with chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and ground flax seed. I still have it!! ☺️

Your mom was never your enemy, she was your shield. She wasn't perfect, no. Sometimes her words came out sharper than she meant, and sometimes her worry sounded like criticism. But behind every tense moment was a woman who felt your pain like it was her own, who stayed in your corner even when the whole world went quiet, who tried her best to protect you with the little she had and the everything she was. She wasn't trying to control you. She was trying to keep you alive long enough to become everything she prayed you'd be.

She's the one who bandaged your knees, who stayed up all night listening to you cry, who pushed you to chase your dreams even when you doubted yourself. She's the one who taught you how to love, how to fight, and how to stand up for yourself. And sometimes, her way of showing love was tough, but it was always rooted in a deep, unwavering desire to see you thrive. As a 35-year-old, you know she's not invincible, but you've got a toddler and a daughter of your own now – you're learning just how fierce a mother's love can be. Give her a hug, say thank you, and let her know you're grateful for her shield.

A story many of you know....
Once a man asked a wise old man whether he should stay with his wife or go to his mistress.
The old man took a freshly cut rose and a cactus in his hand
and he asked the man:
- If I give you to choose from these flowers, which one will you choose?
The man smiled and answered without thinking:
- A rose, of course!
- You're crazy, said the old man, sometimes men are possessed by beauty and choose what is the most beautiful and freshest.
The rose will soon wilt and die. Cactus stays green and one day despite having thorns it will bloom into the most beautiful flower you've ever seen.
Your wife knows your flaws, weaknesses and faults.
Your crush only want your success, money
and a smile.
Your wife has been there in all your downs, she knows your tears, she loves you in all your happy and bad.
However, your lover will leave you in moments of distress, she will exchange you for another who will give her what you are giving her now.
Crazy is the one who has a diamond at home and goes out to look for stones on other roads!
