Let’s go Dawgs!!!!! This is awesome and we’re super proud of all of these coaches & young men for this recognition

It probably isn’t a surprise that Hough and Providence Day sit atop the preseason Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 poll. Both teams are nationally ranked, reigning state champions, and stocked with Division I talent.

But the team just behind those two heavyweights might surprise a few folks.

Concord’s JM Robinson slides in at No. 3 after the state champs — and before traditional powers like Weddington, Mallard Creek and Charlotte Catholic.
