As FLAG on the Farm continues to grow, we'd love your input.

We've talked about ideas like field trips, kids' bingo, monthly potluck picnics, more pizza and karaoke nights, and more Little Sprouts (playtime and fellowship for babies and moms). We will also host our first Conversations That Matter (people gathering face-to-face to discuss life, ideas, and community). And we are also eager to start the Community Garden back up again.
What kinds of events, activities, or gatherings would make you excited to visit the farm?

Hi friends 🤍
We’re excited to share that we’ll be attending the Homestead Conference this year… especially since it’s so close to home! It’s being held at Homestead Heritage in Waco.
We’ve been visiting Homestead Heritage for nearly two decades, and it’s been my “happy place” ever since I discovered it - it’s where I go for encouragement and inspiration on those long farm days when things feel a little heavy. There’s something about that place that just fills my cup back up!
It’s been really special to watch it grow over the years… from just a few simple buildings and just a few visitors, to the beautiful, thriving place it is today. And now, it’s grown enough to host the Homestead Conference, which feels pretty amazing.
There will be a lot of great voices there, including Joel Salatin, who helped brought regenerative / sustainable farming into the spotlight years ago after being discovered by Michael Pollan. Now there are many speakers and influencers who have hopped on that bandwagon and you will be able to meet them at this conference.
If you’re able to make it, this is a really special one… and having it so close to home makes it even better.

Out here, not too far from town, you’ll find a real working farm—cattle, sheep, chickens, gardens… and good people.

And while the internet keeps us connected, sometimes what we really need is something simpler—
a face-to-face conversation…
a shared laugh…
a place where you can just be.

Whether you're young or old, local or new in town—
if you’ve ever wanted to sit and talk, share a meal, walk the gardens, or even sing a karaoke song… this place is for you.

FLAG is a not-for-profit space built for community, connection, and slowing down.
