We are heartbroken to share the news with you on the passing of Rick Kovener, Co-Owner of Kovener’s Korner.

Our Dad had a successful career in electrical engineering and explored many hobbies from driving race cars and flying planes to woodworking and 3D printing, but Kovener’s Korner was always his biggest passion and point of pride. Whether he was dreaming up new products, exploring new opportunities, or fixing anything and everything that broke, the store was his ultimate playground. We feel so grateful to have had his guidance and support opening the Columbus location last year, as it was his lifelong dream to bring the business to more communities in southern Indiana.

As our family works through this challenging time, we take solace in knowing that the business our Dad loved so dearly will continue to serve the community he cared about. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and commitment to others will continue to guide us, and his presence will always be a part of Kovener’s Korner.

We hope that heaven has endless chocolate malt cones and no more plumbing leaks to fix.

Today we honor and remember the heroes who gave everything for our freedom. We are incredibly grateful for their sacrifice and service!

We are open normal business hours today (11:00am to 9:00pm; our drive thru is open until 10pm), and we’d love to see you stop by and enjoy the holiday with us! 🍦☀️

* Great News, Our Machine is back up and running properly! Thanks again for all your patience and understanding.*

We want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding over the last few days as we’ve been dealing with issues with our ice cream machine.

We were able to have a technician out yesterday, but unfortunately the issue wasn’t resolved. We’re hopeful it will be fixed today and are doing everything we can to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, we are still open and serving our hard ice cream and smoothie products, and we’re happy to substitute hard serve in place of soft serve for many of your favorite menu items. However, we are limited on what we can offer with soft serve until the machine is fully repaired.

We truly appreciate your support and understanding!
