What started as a joke on a wedding registry somehow turned into a full dinner party theme 😂🧀

Ally added a giant parmesan wheel to her registry as a joke… and one of the parents actually bought it. Naturally, she decided the only reasonable next step was to throw a parmesan-themed birthday dinner party.

So we ran with it.

Moral of the story: Never joke about cheese. And if you do, call me! 😂

I was so happy to sponsor the Ohio Regional Business Aviation Association event this week with a spread of light bites at the lovely, historic in downtown Columbus ✈️

Mother’s Day Brunch at Clō Wine Gallery & Lounge was a dream!

Cooking with seasonal items is one of my favorite things to do. Guests enjoyed a fresh spring menu featuring produce from and - because local ingredients make all the difference.

The Florentine Pie was hands down one of the best things I’ve ever made!!

Huge shoutout to Darcie (showing off her plating skills 🤩) for the extra hands and amazing energy. I couldn’t have done this without you!

As a chef, your plating is only as good as what you’re plating ON

This season, I’m loving International Tableware, Inc's Hearth dishes in a lemon reactive glaze. These pieces bring a warm, artisanal feel to the table while still holding up to the pace of catering and events.

I also appreciate finding companies that value consistency, craftsmanship, and creating products meant to last. And as someone who cares about sustainability? Their permanent dinnerware is designed to last years, keeping disposable products out of landfills!

Life lately 🌿

A lot of spring produce, local greens, and menus built around what’s tasting best right now.

Recent highlights:

• a bright, veggie-forward wedding buffet with Persian-inspired flavors

• carrot salads on repeat because spring carrots deserve it

• local greens from Three Creeks Organics that taste completely different when they haven’t spent days in transport

• making dough for quiches and pie crusts

• and fish sauce with ramps because I couldn’t help myself 😄

Butter Leaf is looking for an Operations Manager to work closely with me as the business continues to grow.

This is a “right hand” role that is part logistics, part client communication, part event support, and a whole lot of keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

If you love:
• being organized
• working in a fast-moving, creative environment
• bringing people together through food
• and aren’t afraid to jump in wherever needed

this might be a really great fit.

✨ Columbus-based
✨ ~30+ hours/week (full-time preferred)
✨ Flexible schedule, some weekends required

No one expects you to know everything, but being thoughtful, proactive, and aligned with how we do things at Butter Leaf matters most!

I’m teaming up with Beechwold Farm Market arket for a Mother’s Day Pop-Up Menu for pickup on May 9th featuring handmade quiches, frittatas, seasonal sides, and sweet treats.

Everything is made with organic eggs, locally sourced ingredients, and so much love!

Pick up is on May 9th at Beechwold Farm Market
Deliveries are available for an additional $20
