Chhole puri- A North Indian food that is now popular all over the world.
Chhole is a Punjabi word for garbanzo beans or chickpea.
The chickpea curry is finger licking delicious and is usually eaten with a fluffy fried tortilla (puri).
Topped with sliced onion some people even like to eat raw green chili with this.
This is a meal in itself that gives you protein, is vegan and vegetarian.
If you haven’t tried it before, try it now.
This is a spicy dish but will not burn your mouth 😀.

Numkeenz brings you
Dahi vada- lentil fritters soaked in sweet yogurt.
If you are not very fond of spicy food or if you want to finish your Indian street food adventure with something sweet and cool - this is the dish for you.
Dahi is yogurt and vada is a fritter. This vada is made of soaked black lentils ground into paste and deep fried. ( you have your protein here)
These spongy fritters are then soaked in sweet yogurt. Topped with some black salt and sweet and sour chutneys and chilli powder (optional) they deliciously melt in your mouth.

Batata vada - Vada pav
This is the most popular street food from Mumbai and is now popular all over the world as a tasty, on-the-go vegetarian burger!
Batata (potato) vada ( fried patty/ ball)
It is made with fried mashed potatoes seasoned with Indian spices and has green chilies that adds a delicious kick.
If you like spicy - try this out! 😀

Vada Pav( pav is bread) - when that delicious vada sits in a buttered burger bun with sweet and sour tamarind sauce and spicy mint chutney and is accompanied by dry crunchy & powdered special mix ( also called chutney) - it makes for a soul satisfying snack.

We will be serving some select menu items at the ethnic expo series that collaborates with Columbus Ganesh Mandal in September.
This will be for one day in downtown Columbus.
Come enjoy your favorite street food while immersing yourself in cultural experience. Indian music and dance performances, arts and crafts, and your popular food!

As 2020 comes to an end we at numkeenz are also closing doors. 😔This was a tough decision.
We are sorry we will no longer be able to serve you your favorite food anymore.
The year was not easy to put it mildly and our struggles were on multiple levels. To the outside world we may have appeared like ducks cruising along the still waters not showing how frantically they are peddling underwater to keep moving.
Our rewards came in the form of happy customers with whom we formed invaluable connection. Till the last day we had new people come in because of a friend’s recommendation.
The last day of our shop to offer pre order pickup was an emotional rollercoaster for me personally. Almost each and everyone expressed their sorrow for closure and expressed best wishes towards new better enterprise.

I want to thank you - each and everyone who were on this journey with me.
