From his first day at Molly Woo’s in 2001 to his role as Corporate Chef today, Jay Ingram has been at the heart of our culinary story. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are proud to honor Corporate Chef Jay Ingram. Jay joined the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants family in 2001, and over the last two-and-a-half decades, he has been a vital part of our evolution.
When Jay describes the Cameron Mitchell Premier Events team, he uses three words: Creative. Reliable. Elevated. It’s easy to see why. Jay has done it all - from the early days of deep-frying in the rain, to the high-stakes pressure of executing a world-class menu for F1 in Las Vegas with just a two-person team. That Vegas event stands out as a career highlight for him - despite the massive challenge, the team’s determination turned it into an incredible success.
Reflecting on his journey, Jay credits the company's culture for his longevity. “The culture and philosophies have always remained consistent, with associates always coming first,” he shares. He points to mentors like Melissa Johnson, Jamie Kline, Chuck Kline, and Brian Hinshaw as major influences who shaped his leadership style and approach to the culinary arts.
For Jay, it’s about the people and the "yes" mentality. “If changes arise at the last minute, our answer is always ‘yes,’” he says. “We do whatever it takes to ensure every guest leaves with a smile.”
Chef Jay, thank you for your vision and your dedication to the art of hospitality. Here’s to 25 years of excellence!
