Today, 30+ volunteers from Designer Brands joined us as part of their global Step Up and Serve day, rolling up their sleeves and getting to work across Freedom!

The team helped scoop dough for this year’s Cause Cookies and jumped in with our catering team, giving us some extra hands during a busy season.

A huge thank you to Designer Brands for choosing to spend the day with us, and to Besa and United Way of Central Ohio for helping bring it all together. We’re so grateful for partners who show up ready to work, connect and help make this work possible. 💙

Over the past few days, our team tackled our largest catering order to-date, packing more than 1,900 box lunches for OhioHealth with the help of an incredible crew of staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Our staff jumped in wherever they were needed. Individual Freedom volunteers showed up ready to pack. Volunteers from Plante Moran joined the effort. And when we quite literally ran out of cooler space, Columbus State Community College stepped in and lent us theirs.

From packing and organizing to loading up thousands of lunches, this was a massive undertaking, and we’re incredibly grateful for every person who helped make it happen. Because at Freedom, catering is about more than great food. Every order helps make our work supporting survivors of human trafficking possible.

To our staff, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who had a hand in these past few days: thank you for showing up in a BIG way. 💙
