Merry Christmas!! Feliz Navidad!! Fröhliche Weihnachten!! Happy Holidays!!メリークリスマス!! hyvää joulua!!

Sorry to all. We here at the jury room have gone dark for, well, quite frankly, too long. We have been on a months long sabbatical in the furthest parts of the northern hemisphere. The heart of the north pole. Now, everyone knows no one lives in the actual "north pole" but, with it being so close to upper parts of Finland, we got hooked up with a group of super great Saami guides. (We only spent like 2 days..it was cold, we weren't prepared, we had the wrong supplies and definitely didn't do any research...) So, we retreated back to Finland. We aren't quitters, we just like being alive, and warm...
DON'T judge us, because we accomplished what we set out to do. What is that you ask? Well kids, we won't leave you hanging. After a couple months of research and collaboration with our awesome new Saami friends, we here at the JR bring you the newest, tastiest, and most season appropriate dish...

We start with the 75,000 BTU Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet K750HS. If you dont know what that is, you definitely cannot afford it. Sorry. We just have high standards. Our bad.
We then get the temp perfectly perfect.
The meat, free range Finnish deer. Nuff said. Salt, pepper, perfect grill. We pair it with 4 fingers of Teerenpeli 10. Just meat and whiskey. Plain. Simple. Delicious.
Now, we know what y'all are thinking, "we thought the JR was way more classy and high end than that!" Well, when was the last time you ate perfectly grilled and seasoned free range Finnish Deer? We will assume your answer was "Oh, our bad. Never. You are always right JR. Our bad."
Apologies accepted. We forgive you.

As we let you go nuts over our swan-like transformation, we held back. As of yesterday, we partnered with the company behind the OR VR system to create an amazing bar patio dining experience! You all see Columbus, but when you are here, you see things like this...

So, Thanksgiving is coming up quick . Take the pic we posted, obviously using all free-range, Kobe, organic, heirloom, blah blah blah (you people already know our super high standards and culinary prowess) and stuff it in a pig, then a lamb, then a 16 point buck, then a cow.....and, caus it's late and we are tired, you peeps can come up with the name.

Matty J. YOU. ARE. NOT. WRONG....OR. YOU. ARE. AT. LEAST. PARTIALLY. CORRECT. boom.

Sooooo... we here at the JR have to apologize to all of our followers....
Last night at 7:48 PM standard time, "Barry" was arrested in the parking garage at Easton. It turns out that loitering in a Easton parking garage whilst wearing a trench coat when "lurking" in the shadows can be considered "suspicious" or "menacing" or "illegal" because he was banned from Easton in 2015 because of a "situation that can't be disclosed due to an "on going court case."
SOOOO...needless to say, the scavenger hunt/brunch will be cancelled as of this post. :( But, if ya'll would still like to experience the brunch itself...well, you are all out of luck. We all were hungry and sad, and thirsty, after we got the collect call from the prison. We also did not accept the charges....it's not 1998.

Dont be all depressed and butt-hurt though, we have more news to come ...

After talking to many guests, we here at the JR are proud to announce we will start serving brunch! When you ask? Where you ask? Well, have we got a suprise for you....Scavenger Hunt!!!!!!!!

Once we post "GO!" (And remember the hunt DOES NOT start until then) The game has begun! For the first clue, all must head to Easton Town Center and head to the parking garage next to Macy's. Find spot #567 whilst wearing a bright orange rain pancho. (Preferably from Saks Fifth Avenue. Such a classy store, right?) There will be, we hope, a man named "Barry" who, after answering all 3 of his riddles, will give you the next clue in an oversized manilla envelope.

What is the big deal about doing all of this for a chance to brunch with us you ask?

How about an omelette made with 6 duck eggs sourced from one duck named Marissa!?!?!?! Marissa is hand fed the finest organic grains and what ever else ducks eat from the small village Shieldaig, in Scotland. The omelette is filled with 1.5 pounds of Free Range Devon crab meat, Almas caviar (for texture of course), Matsutake Mushrooms and Moose House Cheese. And for fun, garnished with edible 24 karat gold leaf, caus, you know, we can! (AND. WE DID!!) This culinary marvel is served with a glass of Macallan "M" and a "back" of organic, hand squeezed Dekopon Juice! Think of it as a classier version of a mimosa, but deconstructed!! We would've done a microphone drop after this post, but, ours is real nice! STAY TUNED FOR THE SIGNAL! GOOD LUCK!!!!

11/05/2018

After many Emails and Facebood PM's we are listening and are going to deliver! For one night only, we at the JR are doing our first beer and food pairing. The catch you ask? One beer and one dish! We are doing the finest beer and burger night ever done! We know that doesn't seem like much, but hold on to your pants/dresses/other clothes that requires holding on to!

We are pairing Space Barley by Sapporo with a burger made with 23 year old dry aged wagyu beef, white truffle infused P**e cheese, Massandra 1775 braised Hop Shoots, Maille Chablis white wine mustard on a Roquefort and almond sourdough roll! How's that for classy? The answer? Classy AF!

3 words! New. Vegetarian. Dish!
We took the concept of a Pidan egg, or the 100 or 1000 year egg! Instead of the egg, we take a Chinese eggplant grown in the Aix-en-Provence by two 8th generation farmers and their family. We then go 100% authentic and take those eggplants and preserve them in a mixture of clay, ash, salt, quicklime, and rice hulls for several weeks. We then pair them with village harvest Chinese black rice and make an un-traditonal Congee. We finish with a vegan "oyster" sauce and a hydroponic scallion. And serve with a gluten free yau ja gwai. You are welcome!

Ah yes, trolling! We weren't aware certain people in the community knew about our "super secret" new dish! Well, lucky y'all, because here it is! We here at JR are proud to present a dish 1000 years in the making! We have sourced authentic Proto-Germanic confit Troll meat. Not only is it 100% Boddason Jotnar, but it is sourced from the finest Skald livestock. After we very heavily sear it on planks of Norse Yggdrasill wood, we then serve it with a black garlic infused Osyrat Kornbröd and a savory, locally sourced Kornmjölsgröt. A must have for anyone who craves authenticity and decadence! After you taste the viking rainbow, you will all be screaming to Odin:

"Lo there do I see my father.
Lo there do I see my mother.
Lo there do I see my brothers and my sisters.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the beginning.
Lo they do call to me;
they bid me take my place among them in the Halls of Valhalla,
where the brave may live forever.”

No breathalyzer needed. Fun fact though....Our new Amuse-bouche is juniper infused himalayan mountain sourced vintage bottled air, delivered to you in a re-purposed Concord oxygen mask. The mouth piece is flavored with locally sourced Red Sea sea salt soaked in 1822 Caribbean rum found in one of Black Beard's hidden "b***y" caches. Mr. Edward Teach say that "This is the most amazing thing I have ever had since oranges cured my gangrene!"

We finally have introduced our newest dish! Balvenie 25 braised Kobe Beef. Served rare, sliced thin. This tender and succulent meat is served with heirloom shaved truffles carmelized in a rare 1923 French port, 88 year aged goat cheese polenta and greenhouse grown sun chokes smoked with rare California redwood chips. Garnished with gold leaf and micro greens.
