The bakery is now in new hands. Thank all of you for letting me help in all your celebrations, big and little. It has been a real pleasure.
The new owners are very nice and they are quite excited to begin making DOUGHNUTS for you to enjoy. I will help them for 2 weeks, showing them whatever they care to learn, and maybe get to learn a little as well. They already have 2 bakeries so you are in good hands.

This is not easy to write, but it has been a fine 24 years here. Sunday is the last day we will be open as My Old World Bakery. Put in one last order and I will make it if I can. I am keeping the FB page so if I get royally bored who knows what will happen in the future. Even if you do not need anything baked, come on in and say bye.

Order today for Mother's Day, muffins and coffeecakes will be made Sunday. We have challah, cheese danish, and almond croissants today. It is hard to make only enough for an order! Challah makes very tasty French toast, even better if it is sliced a day early to dry so it soaks up more custard!

It has been an awesome 24 years but the time has come for a change.The bakery is up for sale, hopefully to someone who will continue the traditional pastries and not start making anything from a mix.
I have met some very fine people and made more than a few friends, made wedding cakes for kids that I have made baby shower cakes before they were born. Made 3 wedding cakes for one woman, she got a ten year anniversary cake this year and told me she finally got it right. Come see me! We are still baking and I will probably have some sort of in house festivities before handing over the keys.

Easter is next week! Order pies, cakes, cookies, and hot cross buns by Friday noon for Saturday pick up. We will be closed Sunday.

We have marbled rye today! Limited loaves though. And Pi Day is a week away. order your favorite and celebrate!

Happy Valentine's Day ! Come in for sweet treats for your favorite people. We will start the day by having chocolate covered strawberries with either semi-sweet or dark.

We made round pumpernickel for putting dip into. We will have round Vienna bread dough loaves tomorrow.

Tomorrow we will be closing at 2 . We have assorted pounds of Valentines cookies available as well as many kinds to purchase however you feel like.

The announcement some of you wait all year for! Christmas cookie bags are out at $2 for at least a pound. Random cookies ,there are a couple of nut free bags,they have white tags. Last chance for fruitcakes, half off.
