Father’s Day at Hound Song!

🚨New Beer Release🚨

Beer: BBA 005
Style: Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with Kooper Family Whiskey
ABV: 9.2%

Our string of barrel aged beers continues with this extra special release! We brewed an Imperial Stout, then partnered up with from Ledbetter, TX to age the beer for ~3 months in one of their freshly emptied bourbon barrels. This is another fun experiment for our brewers as they explore the complex flavors that come from the barrel aging process, after thoughtfully pairing the beer with the barrel.

The result is complex beer that initially invites you in with the warm aroma of brown sugar and vanilla. The flavor features a prominent semi-sweet chocolate note and finishes with vanilla and coconut.

🍔 Plus we’ve got the Dad Bod Burger - an angus beef patty with melted cheddar cheese, grilled onions, bacon, fried onion strips, and a bourbon bbq sauce!

🥒 Our fan favorite Pickle Gose makes its return to the taproom! Inspired by a friendly feud between two Texas breweries over who made the first pickle beer, our version aims to be nothing more than delicious and uniquely Hound Song! We don’t mind not being the first in Texas to brew a pickle beer, but we are proud to be brewing one of the best in Texas!

Beer: Shipwrecked
Style: Coconut-Lime Gose
ABV: 4.8%

🥥🍋‍🟩 After a multi-year hiatus, Shipwrecked is back by popular demand! Our brewers crafted this balanced and delicious tart German ale by skillfully introducing fresh lime and coconut to create a unique and highly refreshing beverage. Reminiscent of a margarita, this salty and tart beer is well balanced by soft coconut to create the ultimate summer refreshment!

Style: Munich Helles
ABV: 5%

Harbert’s Helles makes its return, and this year it is more special than ever, as it aligns with the 100 year anniversary of our building, Harbert’s Garage!

Harbert’s Helles is a full flavored pale German Lager, and as a style, Helles is the predecessor to many modern pale lager beer styles, including domestic beers you see around today. We like to think this is exactly the sort of beer that Mr. Harbert might have enjoyed after a day’s work a century ago!
