We just had someone leave us a 1-star review on Google because she was not allowed to use the restroom. This had nothing to do with the cakes or the service we offer.

For the record, we only allow small children and the elderly use the restroom. Why? Not that I owe an explanation, but since we had a spiteful person give a negative review for not getting their way...

1. A woman literally was in the back of the kitchen one day that had asked to use the restroom. It scared the sh*t out of me, and I have employees to protect.

2. A man, who is actually the reason we finally said ENOUGH, used the bathroom and blew it up. You know what I mean.

3. Our employee lockers are in the back, and we had an employee with money missing once. It is much easier to track things like this when the restrooms are not open to the public.

4. We keep overflow storage in the back, and yes, there are people sent by competitors to see what items we use.

5. Last but not least, we do not HAVE to have a public restroom. There is no law that says we have to have one. If we or any business does, it is pure courtesy.

It caught me off guard when I saw her because she was already headed to the back, so I asked where she was going. When I said we do not have a public restroom, I let her know she could use the restroom at Groucho's, which is right down from our store. This is what we tell nearly every grown adult that comes in and asks to use the restroom, and 99% of them say okay and go there. She did not. She stood outside while I helped her friend, and left her review. I guess that was more important than using the restroom at the moment.

Then she recommended another bakery at the end. 🙄Mind you, I go there sometimes too. People are wild. Let me get back to work, bye. 🙃

Here are the flavors for this week. See you now or see you later. 🙂
