literally the place we drew much of bierkeller's inspiration from: the old 'hood in bamberg, germany. the blue arrow points to the dormered window right above my dorm window. church bells punctuated the day at 15-min intervals; rain pattered on the tiled roofs and the cobblestone courtyards and streets; the smells of brewers' malts and coal smoke seeped in through open windows with the cool air. truly a magical place.

Thank you to everyone that came out and enjoyed Oktoberfest these last two weekends.
The outfits, the celebration, the stein holding made for an extremely fun time!

We will be closing Tuesday 9/29 to give our staff an extra day to rest.

today we close out bierkeller oktoberfest the way it should be: together with all of you, our bierkeller friends and family.

edelweiss express kicks things off right at noon with live german music. 🐐 odom’s mobile petting zoo joins us 12–2 pm for the little ones (and the grown-ups, too).🍺 and we’ll be pouring the last liters of this year’s festbier until they’re gone (and you guys and gals almost got them gone yesterday! whew!)

In Columbia, the various breweries and other venues hosting Oktoberfests celebrate in a multitude of ways, looking to stand apart from the rest of the lederhosen-wearing crowd.
