Hi Columbia- long story short, our lease at Marcy Jo’s Muletown is expiring and we have decided not to renew.

Owning a small business is hard, very hard. And it needs to make sense emotionally, physically and financially. We have struggled behind the scenes in the past year...between rising food costs, staffing struggles, and more, the stress on our family is too much. As you know, we’ve had to shut down several times over the past year. Our lease downtown is expiring, and after much thought, we have decided not to renew. This is the hardest thing ever, and we’ll cry, but we are closing our doors effective immediately.

We thank every single person who has come in, eaten a cinnamon roll, biscuits and gravy, or just gathered to drink a cup of coffee and chat. We are so sad for our amazing staff, our regulars, and Columbia.

We love Columbia SO much, and are so thankful to have served hundreds of you every week for the past 3 years. Being downtown, meeting all of you, and feeding all of you has made this all worth it.
