The Columbia Falls Lions Club at work Saturday. Setting up the Boogie to the Bank 5 & 10k race course in the dark hours of the morning. Then getting the runners on busses in downtown C-Falls and heading them up the North Fork road to the starting lines of both races. Then starting the races at the exact same time from two different locations with all going to the same location on Nucleus Avenue in Columbia Falls. We also work the water stations along the way. Then later in the day we participated in the Heritage Days Parade with the Columbia Falls Scouts. Good day by all!

What a great Heritage Days patriotic 250 concert Thursday by the Flathead Valley Community Band. Thank you Glacier Bank for being its sponsor. A fabulous pie auction followed the performance raising money for the Columbia Falls Historical Society. Great night by all. The next Lion concert is set for Thursday August 6th featuring the Don Lawrence Orchestra starting at 7:00pm at Marantette Park.

Chris Peterson editor of the Hungry Horse News was the recipient of the Columbia Falls Lions Club Citizen of the Year award. Chris has been reporting news stories and taking beautiful pics our area plus Glacier Park for nearly 30 years. Presenting the award at Thursdays Lions Concert was Club President Steve Melby.

Columbia Falls Lions Club summer concert is tonight (Thursday 7-23-26) starting at 6:30 featuring the Flathead Valley Community Band. This Heritage Days event hosted by the Lions will also be hosting the Columbia Falls Historical Society pie auction . They will be having a silent auction for pies during the concert followed by a live auction after the event. Marantette Park Amphitheater is the site for this event.

Thursday saw Jessica Fausey honored with the Columbia Falls Lions Club Lion of the Year award, presented by Club President Steve Melby. As chairman, Jessica led the effort to host the District 37 State Convention in Columbia Falls this past April, which received outstanding reviews. The C-Falls Lions Club year end BBQ was held at the Montana Veterans Home outdoor pavilion.

The Columbia Falls Lions summer concert series will resume its programming on Thursday, July 23rd, at 6:30 PM, during Heritage Days at Marantette Park featuring the Flathead Valley Community Band. . The C-Falls Club will confer its distinguished Citizen of the Year award. Moreover, the Columbia Falls Historical Society will stage a pie auction, featuring a silent auction during the concert and a live auction immediately after the concert. Thursday August 6th the Don Lawrence Orchestra will be the featured guests starting at 7:00pm also at Marantette Park. Glacier Bank of Columbia Falls is the sponsor of both events.
