With deep gratitude, we want to share that the Wild Goose Meeting House will permanently close its doors on September 14, 2024, just a few months shy of our 11th anniversary.
When we opened in November 2013, we were lucky enough to bring third-wave coffee to downtown Colorado Springs just as our city was growing significantly and ready for a locally-focused space to build community. The core of this idea was a true Meeting House - bringing together people from all over the city and beyond, of different backgrounds and beliefs, to connect and build things together.
Over the course of this decade+ we have seen partnerships forged, businesses and nonprofits launched, and friendships cemented. We’ve celebrated the human spirit with our open mic nights, overflowing Beer & Hymns, and countless local musicians.
This difficult decision comes after extensive efforts to navigate the challenges of the past several years, ongoing competition, and the broader impact of inflation on the hospitality industry. Ultimately, we are proud of what the Wild Goose has meant, and recognize it’s time to close this chapter.
We are incredibly grateful to our current team, and the many team members over the years, who have created the sense of hospitality that has been at the center of the Wild Goose. Their hard work, dedication, and warmth have helped foster community and contributed to the vibrance of our city.
To our beloved community: thank you for your support over the years. We are committed to closing the Goose well, and we will cherish these final weeks together. Stay tuned as we reflect back, and invite you to share memories and bittersweet feelings, and celebrate good times as well.
