Meet Magic Capital Grille in Colon, Michigan — owned by my cousin Allie and her fiancé Nathan, right in the Magic Capital of the World! 🎩✨
The more I think about it, the more I realize just how many things we have in common.
We both have significant others who love to cook.
We both have a serious love of food.
We both have lots of babies. 😂
We both love our communities.
We both love creating unique and unexpected flavor combinations.
And we both somehow ended up in the restaurant business.
Except Allie and Nathan were doing it long before Fire & Tice came along. ❤️
And then there’s the family connection that makes this even cooler…
Our great-great-grandparents actually owned a restaurant in that area.
And my grandma and grandpa met there. ❤️
So apparently, the restaurant thing has been making its way through our family for a few generations.
Now Allie and Nathan have Magic Capital Grille, and Brian and I have Fire & Tice BBQ.
We’re not affiliated businesses — we’re just cousins who happen to share a pretty serious love of food, family, community, and coming up with flavors people might not expect. 😂
I just think it’s pretty cool that a family restaurant story that started generations ago is still being written today. ❤️
