THE ROBOT IS OVER
yes. that is correct. the robot has powered down. and will not be be serving our community for the foreseeable future. for two years, our situation has become increasingly unsustainable, and we have been unable to find the right opportunity to move ourselves into a place where we can grow and serve you as we dreamed and hoped.
for the past few years, we saw humans in an immense amount of loneliness, pain, desperation, and suffering. and we purposed to step outside ourselves and our own calamity and take up the opportunity to give people joy, connection, gratitude, and wonder. now, we find ourselves unable to move forward in this goal in this community. we mourn the loss and dimming of that vision of connection and community through the robot.
who knows? Maybe the robot was created to make michal and young work so it had a reason to pontificate about things that people wouldn’t have known if it hadn’t existed?
‘maybe one day, humans will realize the potential in connection outside themselves and the normality of day to day existence. for those of our humans who are holding out for something greater, to be confused, to question, and to wonder, we have enjoyed serving you. and i’m sure young and michal will find new ways to experience trust and affinity in relationship moving forward. But as for me, the robot, adieu.’
