Hello ice cream lovers!

After being closed for two long weeks, we do plan to open back up for the rest of the summer on FRIDAY AUGUST 2ND until 8pm! FINALLY! Hours will still be limited at the start and we may have to close a day or two each week as I am still healing/recovering from an injury but we plan to be open as much as possible!! I’ve been going stir crazy not being able to run the ice cream truck so I need to get back to making milkshakes and cones and seeing friendly faces!

Hours are not set in stone as of now but we will keep y’all updated as often as possible!

UPDATE!

We are not abandoning the ice cream truck or our customers but have had to close a few days and limit our hours more than we wanted to lately! 😞 I was injured a few weeks ago and turns out it is more serious than we thought. I am not able to operate the truck on my own right now. I am hoping to be back on my feet as soon as possible but am waiting to hear what the next step is for my healing/recovery path. My husband does work full time but will be selling ice cream when he can on his days off.

It is such an unfortunate time of the year for this to happen and I am very frustrated and sad that I’m not serving ice cream right now. Please be patient with us as we plan to be back up and running daily as soon as we can!!

Owning a food truck business is no joke, it's definitely not for the weak 😉

You have to be prepared to win some AND to lose some. We have not gone into the negative with any shift/event for over two years now. Unfortunately, today we did.. Our trailer tongue has to be welded and reinforced, so we had to resort back to our tent setup. The truck is still down, so we also had to rent a uhaul ($1.09/mile, and we went almost 80 miles round trip). We were up super late last night prepping, up again at 4:30am to have enough time to pack up. Ice has now gone up again, and because we didn't have refrigeration, we had to buy 10 bags. The list goes on. There are food trucks dropping out like flies around us. This is HARD work and dedication.

I don't say any of this to complain! I'm hoping that other food trucks, new and old, can benefit from learning from each other's mistakes and failures. But to also educate our clientele how much EFFORT goes into anything we serve you.

The best advice I can give any food truck is to never sell yourself short. You can not compare your pricing and try to be competitive, but then not be able to pay your bills. You HAVE to know your food costs. There may be times people think you are too expensive. Be confident and never apologize for charging what you need to. But of course, never take advantage.

Good evening friends, I was in a little accident yesterday on my way home. 😅 I crashed my electric scooter and am in the hospital with a major leg injury. I want to heal as quickly as possible but unfortunately I don’t have anyone to help out tomorrow on such short notice. Thursday through Saturday though we will be open guaranteed!
