LUNA WINE AND FOOD HAS A LIMITED NUMBER OF BOTTLES OF LUCE 2012 WINE.

Luce was the first wine from Montalcino made by blending Sangiovese and Merlot grapes. It was thanks to the collaboration of the Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi Families that came the idea of matching the roundness and softness of Merlot with the elegance and structure of Sangiovese in the land of Brunello di Montalcino, the worldwide famous Italian wine made strictly from Sangiovese grapes.

WINE MAKER NOTES

The color is a very concentrated purple-red. Wild berry fruit, such as blueberry, blackberry and black currant, is prominent on the nose, accompanied by spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg as well as traces of mint. Complex nuances of roasted mocha, fresh almonds and vanilla linger in the background.

On the palate, the entry is soft and enticing, with an acidity that blends into the wine's great structure and silky tannins. The flavor is persistent, offering a crescendo finish with a hint of minerals.

Former Mango Tree owners, Chef Filadi and his wife LeeAnn, have a new restaurant located in Downtown Cocoa Beach. Luna Food and Wine has brought Fine Dining back to Cocoa Beach and welcomes all of their former guests from the Mango Tree.
