Today was a tough day, gang.

As many of you know, we were closed for the holiday and had planned to spend a few extra days giving The Dorsey House a little facelift. Unfortunately, fate had other plans.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the firefighters and first responders from Clyde Township, Fort Gratiot, Kimball Township, Burtchville Township, Grant Township, and any other departments that responded today. Your professionalism, quick action, and dedication are deeply appreciated.

Thank you as well to our local EMS, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, our incredible staff, and the many friends, neighbors, and community members who have reached out with support throughout the day.

Most importantly, everyone is safe and doing okay.

The road ahead may take some time, and we don't yet know exactly what that timeline looks like. What we do know is that we fully intend to come back, and when we do, we'll come back stronger than ever.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, your encouragement, and your patronage over the years. The Dorsey House has been part of this community for a long time, and we're not done yet.

We'll continue to share updates as we learn more.

We will be closing this Monday and Tuesday for some needed repairs.

To observe the holiday and to give our team a well deserved break, we will be closed this Memorial Day.

We will be back to normal hours when we open at 3PM on Tuesday.
