Dolly Day was a great success! Thanks to the hungry people in Portales and Clovis, we sold 203 Dolly Day Meal Deals between our two locations (both on 9/25 in Portales and 10/2 for both Clovis and Portales. OH, and we forgot to mention that Taco Box matched the $203 from the sale of the meals!
So, in addition to the $1 from each meal going to the Imagination Library for books for tots from 0-5 years and our matching, our customers donated an additional $38.45 bringing the total raised to $445.45! This money will be divided between both Curry and Roosevelt Counties.
THANKS TO ALL FOR MAKING THIS SUCH A GREAT PROMOTION!
FYI, the County of Curry is in charge of the book distribution in Curry and the United Way of Eastern New Mexico distributes in Roosevelt. For ways to get your child enrolled in the Imagination Library, contact Curry County offices and/or the United Way of Eastern NM.

The flood is behind us and most of us are able to go back to our lives as we knew it. However, for one family, the family left behind by the passing of Ian Massey, a lineman for Farmers' Electric Coop, will never be the same. If you can find it in you, please donate to the GoFundMe page in Ian's honor. This will help relieve the financial burden for his widow, Emily and their daughter, Cora.

We the people of Clovis owe a great big thanks to the city workers who were on the ball and doing their jobs so effectively during this recent storm. They reacted quickly and got streets closed, stranded drivers back home and kept us safe during what easily could have been a far worse disaster. This morning I went to the Clovis Taco Box to check on our situation (yes, we suffered some minor damage-but we are open for business) and when I drove up, the city workers had just opened 21st St. and were cleaning the debris from the flooding from Greene Acres. When you see any of our dedicated city employees, please give them a BIG HIGH FIVE for what they have done for us these past few days (and every day). We sometimes take their service for granted and they go unheralded. Now is the time to say "Thanks".
