For awhile now, I've been thinking about been where I'm at in life and where my father was when he was my age and all of his amazing accomplishments. The conflicts/wars he was involved in, he's willingness to put his life in danger not just for his family but for your families. Here I am slinging BBQ. My thoughts of my father led me to start thinking about the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for not only my family but for yours. These brave people weren't just our countrymen. They're our brothers and sisters. They're our mothers and fathers, and they believed in something greater than themselves. I love these people, I thank them for believing in this country with it's flaws. God bless our troops, God bless those who gave their lives for us, and God bless America!

Okay, I'll try this again. The first time I had posted, I advised we'll be closed 10 months from now instead of in a fews days. I think that's proof that I need at least a full day off. I hope everyone has a good weekend and thank you in advance for being patient with with us and the other businesses in the village.

Welcome Back Artemis II.
Thank You Emma, Dave, Aurora, and Diana for the NASA patches! It was really cool to meet this amazing family and I truly need to get better at sending out thank you letters (one of my biggest faults). What an an exciting time, to be able to watch the beginning of space travel that takes us further away than the moon. Bless the heroes on Artemis II and may they have a safe reentry! Thank You to all of NASA for all your amazing hard work.

We will be closed Tuesday.

OCEC crews will be taking an outage to replace a structure on the transmission line that feeds the Cloudcroft Substation on March 17, 2026 from 9 AM to 4 PM. All members in Cloudcroft, Timberon, Pinon, W**d, Mayhill, Sacramento, James Canyon, and Hwy. 244 coming out of Cloudcroft will be without power during this time.

A structure on the transmission line feeding the Cloudcroft Substation must be replaced after being vandalized by gunfire.

That's one of my benches out front and there's a foot of snow on top of it. I called it last night and didn't smoke anything, because I had a feeling I might have to dig out today. I also don't want my employees risking it.
If you were planning on coming up, please know the snow will be up here for awhile. Please play it safe.

This isn't a political post, so please respect that I don't want any comments regarding politics.
I want to show my respect again to our Military and recognize that all of you are truly badasses. In the last couple of weeks after the Venezuela operation this patch has started a lot of conversations with several people in the Military (actually all branches) and a shout out comes from those soldiers to the ones that have severed with this company. This shout out comes from very impressive soldiers, some of which had worked along side with this company. Thank You so much for protecting this awesome country!
