Meet the heart behind AJ’s 🤍

Hi, I’m Ismael — proud owner of AJ’s. I’ve been part of the Clintonville community for over 20 years, and this town truly means everything to me.

Before all of this, I was a farm hand, and that’s where I learned the value of hard work, humility, and taking pride in what you do. I never imagined my life would lead me to owning a business — but I’m so grateful it did.

After owning Kenya’s in 2017, we took a leap of faith and purchased this building last year. We poured our hearts into creating something a little different for Clintonville — not just a place for good food, but a place where people can gather, connect, and enjoy great company.

I’m a husband and a proud girl dad to two amazing daughters. My team means the world to me, and it’s an honor to have fun with them, build real connections, and serve the community the very best food we can.
