2016 ➡️ 2026… TALK ABOUT A FULL-CIRCLE MOMENT! 👨🏾🍳🎓🙌🏾
The year was 2016, and I was beginning my journey as a culinary arts student at Prince George’s Community College. I had a dream, a passion for cooking, and a vision for what my future could become.
Fast-forward 10 years to 2026, and I’m walking back through those same doors—but this time, not as a student, but as an ADJUNCT PROFESSOR OF CULINARY ARTS AT PRINCE GEORGE’S COMMUNITY COLLEGE! 🎓🔥
FROM STUDENT TO PROFESSOR! 🙌🏾
What makes this moment so special is knowing everything that happened between these two pictures: the sacrifices, long nights, setbacks, lessons, opportunities, and countless prayers. From building The Chosen Chef Catering & Events to opening The Chosen Bistro, every chapter was preparing me for this moment.
Now, I have the opportunity to pour my knowledge, experiences, and passion into the next generation of culinary professionals—not only by teaching PGCC students, but also by teaching Job Corps of America students and helping prepare them for successful careers in the culinary industry.
I’m grateful to officially sign my work as Chef Duriel, The Chosen Chef—a title that represents my journey, my purpose, and my commitment to serving others through food, mentorship, and education.
GOD’S TIMING IS EVERYTHING! 🙏🏾
Never underestimate where your journey may take you. The very place where you started could one day become the place where you’re called to lead, teach, and inspire others.
