Lora “Lori” Jean Cullum Benedetti passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at her home in Clinton surrounded by family. Lora was born in Clinton, Arkansas on May 31, 1957 to Claud Cullum and Josephine Harmon Cullum. She was a 1975 graduate of Clinton High School.
In1981 she married Joseph Benedetti, and for the next 43 years they would work together and eventually own Frank’s Hickory House BBQ in Choctaw.
Lora was outgoing and playful, and enjoyed making her signature 12 layer ice cream cone, known as the “Dang Revenoor”, for people. She loved her customers and employees, and many over the years became chosen members of her extended family.
Lora served for 20 years on the Van Buren County Rescue Squad and the Choctaw Volunteer Fire Department. She was a PADI certified Scuba Divemaster, and specialized in water and rope rescue. She also loved rappelling.
Family was most important to Lora, and she loved large family gatherings, visiting with her grandkids, nieces and nephews, and playing dominoes with her sisters-in-law and daughter.
Left to cherish her memory is husband of 43 years Joseph Benedetti, brother Michael Claud Cullum (wife Glenda), daughter Samantha Bolden Potts (husband Ronald), grandchildren Kale, Keane, Kamillah, Kisara, and Conrad Musser, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She did not wish for us to hold funeral services, so instead there will be a rosary prayer and regular mass in her memory on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Clinton where she was a member.
If you wish to send flowers, please consider donating instead to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her honor.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Clinton Funeral Service.
