Hey Friends! Soooo... In other news...

I have something exciting to share! After far too long of a hiatus, The Top is re-opening, this weekend! And it's gonna kick off with karaoke Friday night, starting around nine and going until late late with me hosting - of course! Back in business! Expect a whole new layout in the bar with a bigger dance floor this weekend, changes to the menu and hours and maybe even a new name in the near future - and definitely expect it to be THE place to spend these long winter weekend nights!

I've been asked many questions about the future of The Top in the last couple months and I haven't had many answers.. I now have some official ones tonight. Speaking on behalf of Jen as her Bro and ally in this venture. First and foremost, no, the closure had nothing to do with the health department. It was financial, solely. She had a number of ventures on the mainland side in addition to Hong Kong Gardens and was simply spread too thin. Moving forward, this is her only business, here on Whidbey. And many of the plans we've talked about are absolutely on the radar. I still can't wait for a stage in the lower grassy area.. :)
