🇸🇽 SAVE THIS ST. MAARTEN ITINERARY 🇸🇽

This island completely stole my heart. From incredible food and beachfront resorts to cultural experiences and sunset cocktails, here’s everywhere we visited:

📍 / Stayed at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort, a stunning oceanfront property with renovated rooms, multiple pools and a swim up bar.

📍 / The perfect place to watch planes land overhead!

📍 / Beachfront dining with gorgeous views, fresh snapper and a tiramisu worth saving room for.

📍 Creole Cooking Class / One of the most fun experiences of the trip. Learned local recipes and worked the Johnny Cake station.

📍 Steel Pan Experience / A hands on introduction to one of the Caribbean’s most iconic musical traditions.

📍 Explored Philipsburg / The colorful capital of Dutch St. Maarten filled with history, shopping charm.

📍 / Cafe with local art for purchase.

📍 / My FAV meal of the trip!!

📍 / A great spot for sunset drinks before enjoying the nightlife.

📍 / A must visit beach club and jungle escape ft. cabanas, cocktails, pools, and a DJ. You can also zip-line and hike here.

📍 / The perfect rooftop setting for sunset views overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

📍 Located on the French side. Famous for their banana BBQ ribs and homemade banana shots.

📍 Heritage Experience / A meaningful cultural experience that offers a deeper understanding of St. Maarten’s history and traditions.

📍 / Come hungry and save room for dessert. Their cookie skillet was so good we ordered two.

📍 / Our go-to spot at the resort for breakfast every morning and our final dinner before heading home.

📍 / Wine + Cheese Tasting

📍 / Cocktails with the ocean waves as your soundtrack.

St. Maarten, I ❤️ you! 🇸🇽✨

As someone who plans entire trips around what I’m going to eat, this island exceeded my expectations. The blend of Dutch, French, Caribbean, and Creole influences makes St. Maarten one of the most exciting food destinations I’ve visited.

The flavors:
📍
📍
📍 Big Fish SXM
📍
📍
📍
📍 pureocean
📍

And everyone knows Snapper is better in the Caribbean! So I had to get get it at every restaurant 💛

I’ve got your next date night planned 😏

This Italian-American spot in Manhattan is such a great option because they nailed it from start to finish. Park Rose NYC isn’t just serving looks. The food is every bit as good as the atmosphere.

The whipped ricotta with mission fig jam and flatbread was the perfect way to start, the Oysters Casino disappeared in minutes and the Branzino Piccata was cooked to perfection.

📍 Park Rose / 444 Park Ave S, New York City

What we ordered:
✨Whipped Ricotta & Mission Fig Jam
✨Oysters Casino
✨Caesar Salad
✨Stuffed Shells
✨Branzino Piccata

📍 Lithos / 151 Maiden Ln, New York City

We really enjoyed the food, especially the Ribeye and Prawn! I got the Lithos Pineapple Tini and my friend got the Paros Paradise and we both agreed the drinks here are a GO!! They have a beautiful patio area to enjoy this good weather and sip on their Happy Hour cocktails.

🍹Happy Hour:

I’ve eaten my fair share of cookies across New York City, so trust me when I say these are worth the trip 🍪!

Cookies N Cream is serving fresh baked cookies daily, and the lineup is top tier. The Rainbow Cookie completely stole the show for me, while the Cinnamon Bun cookie was a very close second. I’m big on texture and the cookies were super soft with a thick center.

📍Cookies N Cream / Multiple Locations across NYC, NJ and PA

But don’t make the mistake of thinking this is just a cookie shop. They’ve got:

🍪 Rainbow Cookie
🍪 Cinnamon Bun Cookie
🍪 S’mores Cookie
🍪 Cookies & Cream Cookie
🍪 Viral Dot Cookie
🍪 Dubai Cookie
🍦 Sundae Nachos
🥤 Milkshakes
🌈 Cereal Swirls
🍓 Strawberry & Cream Ice Cream in a Red Velvet Cone
+ more!

Check them out!

At this point, I’ll be on everybody’s rooftop this summer because NYC rooftops are undefeated. 🌇🍸✨

Located on top of the Ink Hotel, Hudson Vu, is a gorgeous indoor-outdoor rooftop bar and restaurant. This rooftop serves some of the most incredible panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline and Hudson River.

📍 Hudson Vu / 653 11th Ave, New York City

If you’re looking for a post work spot, their happy hour runs daily from 3PM-6PM, making it the perfect excuse to trade the office for skyline views and cocktails.

72 hours in Washington, DC!

Let’s get into it because Washington, DC is always a good idea. is the perfect weekend getaway and just a quick ride on the ! In honor of America’s 250th birthday, DC will have exciting events year-round.

If you’re planning a DC trip, here’s everywhere we went:

📍Milk & Honey
One of my favorite brunch spots from the trip. +  That upside down pineapple cocktail was genuinely one of the BEST cocktails I’ve had in a while. Brunch here is a must!

📍National Museum of African American History & Culture
Such a powerful and emotional experience! This was my first time visiting and I truly feel like everyone should experience this museum at least once.

📍Sweet Home Café
Located inside the African American Museum and WOW! Just know we put those plates away.

📍Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
Such a fun stop while exploring DC.

📍Salamander DC
A beautiful Black-Owned luxury hotel with incredible hospitality, gorgeous rooms, a spa, and home to Chef Kwame’s restaurant. Such an amazing stay from beginning to end.

📍Bike Tour through DC
They offer several bike tour options but we selected the Civil Rights tour. We biked through the city learning about DC’s role in the Civil Rights Movement while seeing monuments, historical buildings, and landmarks with so much history behind them. Huge thank you to Jeff for such an incredible tour!!

📍Ben’s Chili Bowl
An absolute Washington, DC ICON. We tried the smoked dog fully loaded, milkshakes, and banana pudding, but honestly the best part was meeting Ms. Virginia Ali herself and hearing stories about the history behind the restaurant. Such a special moment.

📍St. Vincent Wine
Another Black-Owned restaurant! We grabbed a glass of wine before heading home.

Save this for your next trip!

Table side Cinnamon Roll?! I had to get involved in that.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that nails the food, cocktails, and atmosphere all in one, make a reservation at KYU immediately.
Located in NoHo, KYU is known for its Asian inspired wood-fired cooking, and every dish that hit the table reminded me exactly why this spot has become such a NYC favorite. The space is absolutely stunning with an open kitchen that lets you watch the chefs work their magic over live fire.

📍KYU / 324 Lafayette St, New York City

What we ordered:
✨ Pink Puppy Cocktail
✨ Caviar Service: Smoked Onion Dip with Oscietra Caviar + Crab Rice with Caviar
✨ Chilean Sea Bass
✨ Sides: Baby Bok Choy + Japanese Sweet Potato
✨ Baby Back Ribs
✨ Thai Stone Rice Piot
✨ Table side Cinnamon Roll

Although the Thai Stone Pot wasn’t for me, EVERYTHING else was excellent. The cinnamon roll alone is worth the reservation!
