It's time again to support trans and gender diverse youth through ! And as I've said before, even in Ohio, in the US and in the current political climate we live in, I refuse to see this call to action as political. It's not "culture war". It's not whatever the new thing being spun to divide us is. This is about the power of summer camp. If you know you know. It gives kids a safe environment to be themselves, discover new friends and grow, and take a break from everything heavy in the bigger world. Maybe we disagree on a lot, but while all of that's going on, lets give children a break from it.
Camp Lilac is a overnight summer camp that supports some of our most vulnerable youth through a positive, welcoming, and safe environment. They hike, they canoe, they play D&D, all the good stuff. What more could you ask for.
We're hosting a special mixer to support camp scholarships, because camp should be available to everyone! We'll play games, there will be raffles, a silent auction, and all around good times. Tickets are $10 at the door - 100% of which goes to camp schlarships.
