Small businesses say âyesâ more often than people realize.
We say yes because we want to support our communities. We trust your excitement. We believe your event will be successful. And we genuinely want to help create something people remember.
But unlike larger companies, we canât absorb the cost of a slow event.
When a food truck (or any local business) commits to your neighborhood, office, or event, weâre taking on payroll, food costs, inventory, fuel, prep time, travel, and often giving up another booking to be there.
Weâve learned over the years what works and what doesnât, and thatâs why we ask for minimum commitments on certain events. Itâs not because we donât believe in your event...itâs because we have to protect the business that allows us to keep showing up.
If youâre inviting local businesses to be part of your event, think about how the risk is being shared. A minimum guarantee isnât paying us to show up...itâs creating a partnership where everyone has something invested in making the event successful.
The best events happen when organizers and small businesses work together, not when one side carries all the risk. đ€
